Future Shock Dance Troupe, Watford is run by Idance Studios. It is our youth dance troupe for kids 11 to 17 years old. Future Shock is part of Culture Shock Dance Troupe™ United Kingdom.

Future Shock is a dedicated group of street & technical dancers who through Hip Hop dance & movement build self esteem and create a positive environment for ALL people. Future Shock is directed, trained and coached by Culture Shock dancers.

The troupe performs at dance competitions, festivals, community, and theatrical events.

Auditions

Future Shock auditions are January 28, 2006 3:00pm - 5:30pm at the Newton Price Centre, Watford, Herts. WD17 2QT.

Two Future Shock Troupes

 We plan to have two Future Shock Troupes from February 2006. Each troupe will perform year round in shows and community events as well as perform in THE CHOREOGRAPHERS SHOWCASE, San Diego, California in the October Half Term.

With two Future Shock Troupes we feel we can be more effective. Each troupe will be smaller than our current size and each dancer will have more space, get more personal attention and be better able to improve his or her dance skills.

In one troupe ( the smallest of the two) we  will focus on competitions which will require strong technical skills. Many competitions have a maximum limit of 8 and 15 persons per team. Each year strong members from the previous year's Future Shock Troupe will be invited to participate in this troupe.

Newcomers to Future Shock must perform with our second troupe before they can be considered for our first troupe. Dancers may be moved from one troupe to another at specific times during the performing year only. This will be based on attendance, commitment and performance.
